Bereaved-parent Inspired
Never Say Goodbye is a concise, inspiring, heartfelt account of love and healing by Marie Ramundo Pardi. Keeping her son "Where the light is."
Marie’s healthy adult son, Nicholas Taylor Ramundo, shockingly died on March 27, 2015. He was only 22 years old. “And that was that,” the author states. It was a crushing blow.
A mother’s loss of a child is the deepest human hurt there is. Marie Ramundo Pardi is thus qualified to comment.
I first knew her as Marie Hoffman over 40 years ago; a dear friend from our college days who has made a lifelong impact. Marie’s goodness and positivity were glowing then and shine yet brighter today as she shares her compelling story. Writing the book and updating it as new things happen, and sharing it to a wider audience- are all part of Marie Ramundo Pardi’s own healing.
The author’s guidance of Breathe, Listen, Feel, Act was penned just days after Nicholas died. Then as her healing progressed, this book evolved and Marie determined to offer first-hand guidance to others.
The result is a concise, thoughtful and powerful read. “A smaller book” with a big message. Never Say Goodbye delivers hope, positivity and enlightenment to others who grieve the loss of a treasured loved one and offers heartfelt inspiration to all.
Hallmark Relationship
The core premise is the title-- never say goodbye to dearly beloved departed. Death does not separate the enduring bond of love that a parent and child forever share.
Mitch Albom, celebrated author of Tuesdays with Morrie, observed “Death ends a life, not a relationship.” A new, genuine, enduring two-way relationship between mother and son is the hallmark of this book.
In Chapter 2 the author shares a vibrant dialogue with her son in a dream just one night after Nicholas died. The compelling narrative is the first of many connections recorded by the author, demonstrating that a real, even deeper, new relationship can and does exist between bereaved parent and deceased child.
Never Say Goodbye, this second Edition (copyright 2024) is the author’s original 2017 version, with a reaffirming update in a new Epilogue. Mostly through effective story telling of actual events, the author’s advice is practical, actionable and hopeful; but never religious or preachy. Marie simply explains what has happened. She shares her path and the reader can take it from there.
Just Keep Me Where the Light Is
“Just keep me where the light is” is Nicholas’ self-adopted mantra. A favored quote in life, the phrase now adorns his memorial headstone. Its origins are closely tied to John Mayer’s song “Gravity”. The saying is popular with Mayer’s young ardent fans. Many are drawn to its emotional appeal and metaphorical resonance.
Perhaps “Just keep me where the light is” was also his prayer - for himself while Nicholas lived; and now it is his prayer to be remembered. Certainly that’s his mother’s prayer. Above all things, to Marie Ramundo Pardi, is that her dearest Nicholas Taylor will never be forgotten.
Marie shares a Fullness Journal entry written by Nicholas himself. Nicholas speaks to his Mother in her dream, when tuning in a certain song, through mediums. Lots of ways. Nicholas even encouraged his mom to write this book and ensure it had his stamp of approval. “A smaller book” was advised! Read all about it and be inspired.
Keep— Marie Ramundo Pardi and all loved ones, and every grieving parent and y’all readers— where the light is. Amen.
